Your commitment to human rights is appreciated by the Palestinian, Muslim and the wider Windsor community. This agreement signifies a bold step towards supporting marginalized communities and upholding ethical standards in the university’s operations. By taking this stance, you have not only listened to the voices and concerns of students, faculty, and staff but also set an example for other institutions to follow. 

Your commitment to enhancing anti-racism initiatives, including comprehensive education and training for senior leaders, faculty, and staff, demonstrates a dedication to creating an inclusive and equitable environment for all members of the university community. We also appreciate the expanded support for students affected by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza through the Scholars at Risk program and a commitment to annual disclosure of public fund investments. These efforts uphold the university’s commitment to principles of responsible investment. Your leadership in navigating this complex situation shows your dedication to protecting free speech and has strengthened the trust that students, faculty, and the community have with the University of Windsor.
